Revit Lock 3d View

On the view control bar click save orientation and lock view.

Revit lock 3d view. Its actually very easy to do. Just click the little icon in your bottom bar that shows a house and a lock. Open the 3d view in which you want to tag elements and set the orientation. Submitted by seiler design solutions on june 8 2011 revit now has the ability to lock your 3d views orientation for the ability to add annotation and keep your 3d view from accidentally being adjusted.

If you do need to make some changes to the saved 3d view simply click the locked 3d view button again to unlock it while you adjust your 3d view. Click the pin icon. Add tags or keynotes to untagged elements as desired. The feature is next to the temporary hide isolate the eye glasses at the bottom of the screen.

The pin icon displays on the view indicating that it is locked in place. To unlock a view on a sheet on the sheet select the locked view. To lock the 3d view click the locked 3d view button found at the bottom of revit it looks like a house with a padlock. This will now have locked the 3d view stopping any accidental changes to it.

Then select save orientation and lock view now your view is secure. Follow me on instagram. If the 3d view is a default orthographic view usually named 3d you will be prompted to rename the view because you cannot lock a default 3d view.
